In 2003, with great determination to reach the world from Shonan, the interior brand AREA, which started with just a 5-square-meter shop in Chigasaki, has finally reopened its store in Shonan, its birthplace, after 20 years of expansion to Aoyama, Tokyo, Saint-Germain, Paris, and Madison, New York. In our modest establishment, we’ve packed tales of our past adventures and a fervent longing for the ever-promising future, presenting to you what AREA envisions as the essence of Japanese furniture.
